A tentative agreement has been reached between Thompson View Manor Society and the BCGEU. A complete package with all details will be prepared for the ratification meeting.
The tentative collective agreement is for a 2-year contract and includes some language and housekeeping changes as well as financial gains.
The agreement includes wage increases:
December 1, 2016 1.25%
December 1, 2017 1.25%
Further information will be released at the ratification meeting.
Your Bargaining Committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement to members.
A ratification meeting is scheduled for:
Friday, February 10 @ 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the activity room.
The hope is this time frame allows members to come before, after, or during their shift to hear any additional information, ask questions and vote on the tentative agreement. Coverage will be provided for day shift employees to attend the meeting.
If you are unable to attend this meeting, please contact a bargaining committee member to arrange for alternate voting options.
Voting will conclude and will be counted immediately following the meeting.
